ABOUT MRS. MELTON
Hi! Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! My name is Cassidy Melton, & I am 1 of 2 special education teachers at EHS. This marks my 11h year of teaching at Erie High School, where I’ve taught since graduating from Western Illinois University in 2009. While there I earned a teaching degree in special education & elementary Education. This will be my first year as a student council advisor, which i’m very excited about.
I’m looking forward to this school year & the new adventures it will bring!
I grew up in German Valley, Illinois, a town smaller than Erie with a population of 480 people. I graduated from Forreston High School where I played volleyball, basketball and softball but enjoy all sports. I met my husband, Ryan (an Erie alumni), while at WIU. We have two handsome, rambunctious boys, Turner and Teegan, that keep us on our toes. We also have two dogs, a rabbit & lots of fish. As a family, we enjoy attending sporting events, especially baseball, and boating.
